Even though the Milwaukee Brewers have not had a stellar start to the season, Sargento is still scoring runs with baseball fans.
“We have extended our partnership with the Brewers to be the ‘Official Cheese of the Milwaukee Brewers’ through the 2018 season,” said Creative Services Director Bob Peiffer. “This began in 2012 and has helped showcase our brand in new ways.”
As the Official Cheese of the Milwaukee Brewers, our brand logo covers the Brewers dugout; a highly visible area, especially for those watching the games on television. Sargento is also featured prominently throughout the ball park, during in-game promotions and the concession stands.
“Fans can purchase the ‘Sargento Cheddar Burger’ with our Mild Cheddar slices, as well as our shredded cheese and refrigerated snacks in the “grab & go” food stations. The shredded cheese is also on made-to-order baked potatoes,” said Peiffer. “In addition to the concessions and our logo on the dugout, we have the ability to offer our customers VIP access to Miller Park complete with opportunities to throw out the first pitch.”
The Brewers have helped Sargento every step of the way to actuate our sponsorship agreement. Sargento not only has cheese exclusivity inside Miller Park, but also the rights to the Brewers logos and marks to use on our products and merchandise. “Being able to use their logo alongside ours gives us the ability to leverage the popularity and equity of the Brewers and potentially reach new consumers,” said Peiffer.
Like Sargento, the Brewers believe in meaningful community outreach. The ball club’s Community Foundation supports causes that strengthen greater Milwaukee families, many of which Sargento also supports: Make A Wish, Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Hunger Task Force to name a few.
This season, the Brewers gave us memorabilia to raffle off to the Sargento family. Prizes include game tickets, a Brewers picnic basket complete with service for two and an autographed photo of Hank Aaron, Bob Uecker and Robin Yount (pictured below). Entering the raffle also means a donation to the Brewers Community Foundation.
“They have been such great partners for us,” said Bob Peiffer. “It’s nice that we can support them in return. Now the team just has to start winning some games!” he laughed.
