Sargento Foods Inc. (“Sargento”, “We”, Us”) collects and uses your personal information for human resources, employment, benefits administration, health and safety, and business-related purposes and to be in legal compliance/the business purposes listed in the chart below. We do not collect sensitive personal information via Careers.Sargento.com. We are committed to properly handling the personal information collected or processed in connection with your employment relationship with us.

We may collect the personal information categories listed in the table below:

AnchorHow Long We Keep Your Personal Information

In general, Sargento keeps Human Resource files (e.g. employee benefits plans, retirement documents, employment applications, and personnel files) indefinitely.  Additional records related to Sargento employees are retained for the length of employment plus thirty years.  However, the final criteria used to determine our retention periods include (i) the length of the relationship with you; (ii) as required to meet our legal obligations; and (iii) as advised by our legal counsel considering such matters as applicable complaints, statutes of limitations, litigation, or regulatory requirements.  We may remove Personal Information from our database at any time and without providing any reason.
